Primers right: how to vote?

Where and how to vote in the primary of the right and center. The requirements, the polling stations and the applicable rules.

The dates of the 1st round and 2nd round

The first round of the primary right and center to designate the presidential candidate in 2017 took place from 8 to 19h Sunday, November 20.

The second round will take place Sunday, November 27 from 8 am to 19h.

The two leading candidates - François Fillon and Alain Juppé - will participate in the second round.

In the overseas territories

Due to the time difference, the voting in the overseas territories are held at the same times on Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 November.

Who can vote

The vote is not reserved for members or party activists. The voters must simply comply with three conditions:

  • be registered on electoral lists as of December 31, 2015
  • a contribution of € 2 per ballot (you will have to repay EUR 2 to vote in the second round if you have already paid the amount to the first)
  • sign an undertaking on honor indicating that sharing "republican values ​​of the right and center."

So just to show up with a document of identification (CNI, passport, etc.) and his voter card.

How to vote

This is a secret ballot. Proxy votes (to be possible presidential 2017) are not allowed.

Only registered voters in the first round may vote in the second round.

Online voting from abroad French

The French foreign registered online until October 16.

They received a confirmation link that they must click to get their password.

They can then vote online from Saturday 19 to Sunday, November 20th 19h, for the first round, and Saturday 26 to Sunday, November 27th 19h.
