Crowdsourcing – Definition

Crowdsourcing (literally "crowdsourcing" ) Refers to the ability to create content or online services collaboratively.

With crowdsourcing, it is possible, asking each to perform a small task to perform actions that a person or computers would not be able to do.

This is the case for example of the free encyclopedia Wikipedia, which allows everyone to enrich its content and who is now a freely accessible online knowledge, which did not exist as such before.

Another example is spam, that only computers are unable to eliminate. Spam tools electronic mail providers use the information from millions of users when they mark their mail as spam to get to better determine what is spam or not.
