Meaning of a direct tax

Direct taxes are established taxes directly borne by whoever supports sampling. The best known example of direct tax is the income tax that is paid directly to the tax by the taxpayer. The housing tax, wealth tax or corporation tax are direct taxes. The concept of direct tax is opposed to that of indirect tax that involves a third party in the tax payment process.
